The PPDM Section provides an international forum to examine issues related to the biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, drug metabolism and transport of pharmaceutical products and therapies. PPDM brings together individuals whose research interests include characterization of drug and chemical actions, disposition, and biotransformation at the organism, tissue, cellular, and subcellular levels. The section provides an opportunity for networking, presentation of new data and an exchange of ideas by individuals actively engaged in various facets of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, drug metabolism and transport, biopharmaceutics, and related sciences. This scientific exchange enables scientists from academia, industry, and regulatory agencies to improve/develop better patient therapies while jointly advancing their professional development and respective disciplines. PPDM recognizes the need for education and training of new scientists through active recruitment of new students and post-doctoral fellows, support of graduate faculty, and encouraging student participation within PPDM.
